Our first photo contest is still running, but with the great response – we thought we’d launch another.

Monday is Valentine’s Day. You know – when all the flower, greeting card and chocolate shops smile at you and tell you their prices are a little bit higher that day. But, it’s also a nice reminder for us all to put down our laptops, iPhones and iPads and celebrate the person sitting across from us at the dinner table.

Everyone I talk to has a different response when I ask them what they think about the holiday. At Civil Beat, we thought it would be interesting to see what our readers thought – or saw rather. Show us how Hawaii celebrates Valentine’s Day by sending us a photo that you think fits the description “Island Style Valentines.” The best photos and photographers will be featured on our site, and the best photo/photographer combination will be added to our Community Voices section.
