The Paepae O Heeia co-founder explains how this Hawaiian mo鈥榦lelo is relevant to his work as a food cultivator.
Born and raised at Kawela Bay, Keli鈥榠 Kotubetey is the Assistant Executive Director and Aina Momona Coordinator for Paepae o He驶eia, a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for He鈥檈ia Fishpond. He began volunteering at the fishpond in 2000 and was one of eight young Hawaiians who founded the organization a year later. He is now responsible for bringing awareness of the fishpond to the community while also leading the research and production of He鈥檈ia Fishpond limu, fish, and oysters.
