Born and raised at Kawela Bay, Keli‘i Kotubetey is the Assistant Executive Director and Aina Momona Coordinator for Paepae o Heʻeia, a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for He’eia Fishpond. He began volunteering at the fishpond in 2000 and was one of eight young Hawaiians who founded the organization a year later. He is now responsible for bringing awareness of the fishpond to the community while also leading the research and production of He’eia Fishpond limu, fish, and oysters.
