WASHINGTON — Among the companies receiving millions of dollars in federal coronavirus relief aid is the company behind the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Waikiki.

Data shows that Irongate Azrep BW LLC, of California, received between $2 million and $5 million through the Paycheck Protection Program, which was created by Congress to help small businesses keep the checks flowing to their employees during the COVID-19 crisis.

In addition to providing luxury accommodations to visitors, the Trump International Hotel in Waikiki offers condominiums for sale that, according to , start at $1.798 million.

Irongate Azrep itself is not owned by President Donald Trump or his organization, but it does license his name through a separate Trump-owned business — Trump Marks Waikiki LLC.

According to the president’s financial disclosures, the royalties from that deal are worth between $100,000 and $1 million.

When Congress first passed a $2 trillion coronavirus relief package that would block the president and his family from benefiting from parts of the bailout. The Paycheck Protection Program, or PPP, was not covered by that exemption.
