A COVID-19 infection identified in a Queen’s Medical Center patient has led to a cluster involving 39 people in two weeks, the hospital said Thursday.
Twenty-seven staff members and 12 patients have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus to date.
All who have tested positive are in quarantine or under hospital care.
Hospital representatives refused to provide any further information about the outbreak Thursday.
The Queen’s Medical Center has been inoculating staff members since December with the COVID-19 vaccine. More than 5,700 medical personnel have received the vaccine, according to hospital officials.
