Next Stop, Kauai! Civil Beat’s Pop-Up Newsroom Is Going To The Garden Isle
Members of our team will be posted up at the library on Monday in Lihue.
Civil Beat is headed to the Lihue Public Library on Monday to hear from the Kauai community about what issues matter to you.
It’s the next stop in our ongoing Pop-Up Newsroom series, and will mark our first visit to the Garden Isle since we started holding these informal discussions around the state.
Aside from listening to what you have to say, we’re also available to answer any questions you may have about Civil Beat. We’ll be there from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., give or take a lunch break.
We plan to send deputy editors Nathan Eagle and Matthew Leonard; reporters Brittany Lyte (who lives on island) and Thomas Heaton; Chad Blair, our politics and opinion editor; Ku鈥榰 Kauanoe, who manages our social media; and our business team gurus Ben Nishimoto and Eduardo Hern谩ndez, who primarily focus on funding our nonprofit journalism.
