Hawaii Gas, the state鈥檚 聽largest propane distribution business, will be acquired by New York-based 聽for an undisclosed amount, subject to approval by the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission, the companies said Monday.
鈥淲e believe that the change of ownership will be seamless for our commercial and residential customers, since neither our regulated rates nor daily operations will be affected,鈥 said Alicia Moy, president and CEO of Hawaii Gas.
The deal would not affect聽Hawaii Gas鈥 employee count, wages, headquarters location and management team, the companies said.
