The 25th Infantry Division will be running convoys along the H-1 East and H2 South freeways through Aug. 26 as the division moves vehicles and equipment from Schofield Barracks to Joint Base Pearl-Harbor Hickam.

The vehicles and equipment comprising the convoys are deploying in support of 2nd Brigade Combat Team’s upcoming exercise at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana, to renew its deployment certification.

This follows Lightning Forge, a practice run for this exercise and the first brigade level exercise in Hawaii since the beginning of the pandemic.

The convoys will be made up of about 25 vehicles each. In a press release, a division spokeswoman urged residents to “use care if attempting to pass between slow-moving military vehicles for the purposes of exiting the freeway or changing lanes.”

The convoys, will move each day between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
