Suggested contributions start at $500 and go as high as $2,500 for a campaign fundraiser for Hawaii Lt. Gov. Josh Green this Wednesday.

The office sought: governor.

According with the state Campaign Spending Commission, Green, a Democrat, will be raising cash at in San Francisco.

“I’m focused on providing caring, thoughtful leadership now and into the future,” Green said Tuesday.

Green was elected LG in 2018. He is a medical doctor by profession and a former state senator.

The only other possible Hawaii candidate for governor to hold a fundraiser this year (so far) , the Republican who lost to Gov. David Ige in the 2018 general election.

Ige will finish his second and final term in 2022.
