Lindsey Kinney in a July interview that Miske and his associates had approached him in 2016 about killing Fraser after he was involved in a car accident that resulted in the death of Miske鈥檚 son, Caleb.
Kinney said he was offered $50,000 to carry out the hit on Fraser. After he refused, he said he was offered $20,000 to keep quiet. He told the news station he did not take the money.
鈥淚 was a loose end,鈥 Kinney said.
According to Kinney, Miske and his associates showed up at his job site at Kualoa Ranch where he was working on a movie set and tried to shoot him. Kinney said he escaped without being hit.
Miske was indicted this summer along with several co-conspirators for running an alleged crime ring that included drug trafficking as well as the plot to murder Fraser and others.
Prosecutors have said he was known to intimidate police officers.
He has also been linked to officials in the Honolulu Prosecuting Attorney鈥檚 Office, including former deputy prosecuting attorney Katherine Kealoha and Roger Lau, who was a special assistant to Prosecuting Attorney Keith Kaneshiro, who went on leave after being named the target of an ongoing federal corruption investigation.
Kealoha has been found guilty of several crimes related to her abuse of power as a prosecutor and attorney, including an attempt to frame a family member for the theft of her mailbox. Kealhoa鈥檚 husband, retired Honolulu police chief Louis Kealhoa, has similarly been found guilty of related crimes.聽
Miske, who is the owner of Kamaaina Termite & Pest Control, faces a possible death penalty if convicted of the crimes alleged in the federal indictment against him. Miske has pleaded not guilty.
