Hawaii Governor-Elect Josh Green Is Hiring For New Administration
Applications for cabinet level positions leading state departments and staff openings in the new governor’s office went live Wednesday morning.
Governor-elect Josh Green launched his Wednesday morning announcing more than 100 position openings for the new administration that’s set to be sworn in Dec. 5.
Those openings include 60 cabinet level positions that lead the state’s executive agencies as well as 45 positions in the governor’s office. That’s in addition to numerous other office positions statewide, according to a press release from Green’s transition team.
Applicants can apply through the for cabinet and staff positions as well as for vacancies on state boards and commissions. A Google account is required to fill out the application forms. The deadline to apply is Dec. 1, and positions will be filled on a rolling basis.
Green’s transition team is being led by Hilton Raethel, president and CEO of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii, who is volunteering as the team’s spokesman.
“Despite the short transition period, Team Green has been preparing and is ready to ensure a smooth and efficient transition,” Raethel said in a press release.
The team also include’s Green’s wife and next first lady, Jaime Green, as well as Green’s current chief of staff, Brooke Wilson. Transition team advisors include Blake Oshiro, executive vice president of the state’s largest lobbying firm, Capitol Consultants; Josh Wisch, former executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii; Jennifer Diesmen, senior vice president of government policy and advocacy for the Hawaii Medical Service Association, and Andy Winer, executive vice president of Strategies 360.
