Civil Beat’s Next Pop-Up Newsroom Is In Waialua

Civil Beat鈥檚 pop-up newsroom is back on Oahu as part of our ongoing Pop-Up Newsroom series. Members of our staff will be at the Waialua Public Library on the North Shore from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We鈥檙e excited to meet you and talk about issues that are important to your community. We can also answer any questions you may have about how we do things at Civil Beat.
On the roster will be general assignment reporter Madeleine List, criminal justice reporter Jack Truesdale, deputy editor Matthew Leonard and digital producer Ku’u Kauanoe.
Ku’u will also be looking for people to interview for a video she鈥檚 doing about the community. Seek her out if you want to participate in that. Here are some examples of other videos she has done.
Civil Beat started the pop-up newsrooms nearly a year ago in partnership with the Hawaii State Public Library System and has visited some two dozen places on all the major islands, including Molokai and Lanai.
