Civil Beat’s mobile newsroom is headed to Molokai this week.

A number of our staff will be posted up in the Molokai Public Library all day and eager to talk to people about issues and ideas.

This is our 11th pop-up newsroom and we’ve met with hundreds of people all over the state. These roving newsrooms have been great ways for our staff to get to know more about a number of different communities, and we’ve heard over and over again how much residents appreciate that we are coming to them.

The pop-ups are very casual, just drop in any time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the regular library hours. Our staff that will be there includes Chad Blair, Kirstin Downey, Marina Riker, Nathan Eagle, Alana Eagle and Ku’u Kauanoe.

Our pop-ups are being held in partnership with the Hawaii State Public Library System. Please reach out to your local library or email us at news@civilbeat.org if you’d like us to come to your community.
