Wednesday that it has renewed “Hawaii Five-o” for the 2019-2020 broadcast season. The announcement comes a week after Hawaii lawmakers increased the amounts of tax credits the state will commit to support motion picture production.

The state pays Hawaii-based production companies a rebate of up to 25 percent of their production costs, but had previously capped the total at $35 million. During the recently ended legislative session,  after pressure from the motion picture industry.

“Hawaii Five-0″ was one of several productions CBS said it would renew Thursday. The others include “Bull,” “Madam Secretary,” “MacGyver,” “SEAL Team,” “SWAT,” “48 Hours” and “60 Minutes.”
