Shem Lawlor

Shem Lawlor is the聽Clean Transportation Director for聽Blue Planet Foundation.

Shem is passionate about sustainable transportation and creating vibrant, healthy communities for everyone. Having lived in Honolulu since 1997, he joined Blue Planet Foundation in 2014 after spending more than six years as a transit-oriented development (TOD) planner with the City and County of Honolulu.

Shem鈥檚 work has focused on promoting smart growth land use, affordable housing, and sustainable mobility thru walking, cycling, public transit, bikeshare, and carsharing.

He earned a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning Degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree with a major in Political Science from the same institution.
