Michael Victorino was elected mayor of the County of Maui in November 2018. From 2007 to 2016, he served five consecutive two-year terms on the Maui County Council, serving on the Wailuku, Waihee and Waikapu residency seat. Victorino was born and raised on Hawaii Island and spent summers visiting his mother’s family in Haliimaile, Maui. He met his wife, Joycelyn Nakahashi, on Maui, and they were married in 1976. They have two sons, Michael Jr. and Shane.
