Now that the primary’s over, we’ve just released Phase II. Our Hawaiian Spring now comes with a bunch of fun, new features:

• Quizzes – If political trivia is your thing, try these quizzes. You earn points for every correct answer, and you can post your score to your Facebook wall/timeline.

• Invite Your Friends – You can now invite your Facebook friends to try Our Hawaiian Spring and receive points for each friend who joins.

• Follow Your Friends – Check the new scoreboard and see all your Facebook friends who installed the app and how they score in relation to you and your other friends.

• Your Friends’ Votes – If three or more of your friends voted in a particular race, a pie chart will show you their aggregated votes. Don’t worry, individual votes are not actually revealed.

• More Ways To Play And Earn Points – Now when you vote or change your vote, you will see a post to your wall/timeline. Don’t worry, your actual vote is not revealed. Tweeting or “liking” Our Hawaiian Spring will get you more points, too!

• Release of an advance API – In addition to being able to apply the Our Hawaiian Spring banner on your website, Webmasters now have the ability to use our advanced API to draw vote data for a particular candidate(s).

Even if you’ve already played the game or are new to Our Hawaiian Spring, check it out when you get the chance. We think you will enjoy the new features.

After a long day of meetings, delegates from the APEC CEO summit gathered Thursday evening at The Royal Hawaiian for the Ka Pilina Aina welcome reception. Aside from being able to sample some local favorites like poke, teri beef, Kahuku shrimp and haupia, various stations around the hotel introduced visitors to Hawaii’s rich music and culture.

Members of the APEC organizing committee were on hand to host the event along with several of Hawaii’s local political leaders.
