Elizabeth Bent

Elizabeth Bent has a Ph.D. in soil microbiology from the University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. in specialized honours environmental microbiology from the University of Guelph, as well as twelve years of postdoctoral molecular biology experience. She is currently researching the dynamics of nitrogen-cycling bacterial functional genes in agricultural soils that release the greenhouse gas nitrous oxide using next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques.
