How is it that a legislature chock full of Democrats manages to write tax policy that Republicans would be eager to vote for?

Thank you, will, for another great cartoon! Unfortunately, the huge tax cut for, primarily, the wealthy ate up all the possible funding for important social programs. Gov. Green picked a couple to help, but left out most of Hawaii's population needs. Shame! Perhaps the legislature will do better, though I wouldn't count on it--they passed the tax cut bill, after all.
