Take the opportunity to hear what Micah Aiu and Garner Shimizu have to say about issues important to voters in central Oahu.

The candidates vying to represent House District 32 will meet with voters and answer questions Thursday at a pop-up newsroom hosted by Civil Beat.

The forum is aimed at giving voters more information about people running for office , which includes Moanalua, Aliamanu, Foster Village as well as parts of Fort Shafter, Aiea and Halawa.

Democratic incumbent Micah Aiu is being challenged by Republican Garner Shimizu. It’s a rematch. Aiu in the 2022 race.

Thursday’s event, which will be moderated by Civil Beat politics editor Chad Blair, is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Oahu Veterans Center at 1298 Kukila St. in Honolulu. Pupus and beverages will be available.
