Rocky gave birth to her 15th pup on a beach on Oahu’s Sand Island, the first recorded birth of a Hawaiian monk seal there. The pup has grown well and soon will be ready to be relocated to a quieter section of Oahu’s shoreline. Until then mom and pup are faring well. (David Croxford/Civil Beat/2024)
