Their "brand" if you will was able to carry both of them to stardom in their respective networks. But when you become that big, and the fact is that your persona you have created is more trouble than is worth it (esp. for Carlson, whose mouth forced his bosses to write a $800 million check to cover what it was saying) then the value of the one person, or thing, is diminished quite a bit. For Lemon, the problems of his reign will come back to bite CNN for years to come in personnel lawsuits against it and Lemon himself. When you become too much to deal with, even if your that popular, you are still very very very dispensable.

Get your chuckles in while you can, Lemon and Carlson both are worth multi millions, Carlson showed up wealthy.They're both are off the air, but still are connected by their contract agreements until severances are finalized. Both hired the best media lawyer in the business. Carlson's popularity will just make him bigger and give him an endless worldwide network utilizing SpaceX芒聙聶s StarLink network thats in the works, rumor has it Apple already has made a deal with Elon Musk.
