Democrats who have had enough of the behavior of their party, but they also know they cannot make any difference by speaking up. Tulsi just dissented , so she leaving the party. The Democratic Party doesn芒聙聶t care about its moderate members in any way other than as a source of votes. Higher gas prices. Higher Crime. On the verge of Nuclear war. If you disagree, we will see on November 08.

Civil Beat did an outstanding job following Tulsi's presidential 'campaign.' She never had a chance, and it appears that she never really intended to make a serious bid. She did manage to raise a respectable amount of money from South Asian immigrants on the mainland, since she was the first Hindu presidential candidate this country has seen. Years before he ran for office, Donald Trump wondered aloud if it would be feasible to run for the presidency just to make money ... Tulsi may have been testing that premise.I applaud her opposition to our "forever wars," but not her attempts to curry favor with foreign dictators (e.g., Syria's Assad). Neither Tulsi nor her father were ever a natural fit for the Democratic Party. It is fair, I think, to call them Democrats by necessity (it is how you get elected in Hawai'i), not by choice. And it is fair to say that she won't be missed by the majority of Dems. But please don't compare Liz Cheney to Tulsi. I can't think of a single policy issue on which Cheney and I would have agreed--but at the end of the day, she risked her career, and arguably her life, to defend the constitution. She can leave Washington with honor.

If Tulsi is against "Forever" wars perhaps she ought to speak with her buddy Modi who is helping Putin fund his war of aggression in Ukraine.
