The people of Hawaii should welcome a built-in accountability system via a second political party that will challenge the politicians that have been in charge for so long and expose more of the hidden corruption that we all hate.

Although it is a cute cartoon, I can't help but ask..." On the mend from whom?" Tucker Carlson has articulated the theory of "white replacement theory" more than 400 times on his show. There are also over 230 bills in Republican State legislatures limiting protest. In Oklahoma it is OK to run over a protester. There are 262 bills in 41 States that would hijack the election process by doing away with election boards and have legislatures certify the vote. 29 States have introduced bills preventing the teaching of racism and sexism. 13 already have them. Whereas the NAZIS used Judeo/Bolshevism as there rallying cry, Republicans apparently are using CRT, crying victim, and the fixed election theory. 14 states severely restrict the right to an abortion the moment Roe was overturned. The Supreme court has relinquished using the Constitution to render decisions and now use a made up document called "The Major Questions Document" to nullify decisions it does not like. That puppy walked right out of Democracy a long time ago, and when it decided to have it's CPAC conference in Hungary? Its time to put it to sleep.

A lot of focus on the GOP, Trump, MAGA yada yada.But not a lot of focus on what is wrong with the Democrat party. Troubling signs the Democrats here will continue follow in the footsteps of mainland Democrats - policies which only lead to more homeless, income inequality, even higher housing prices and a massive chasm between the rich and the poor. Bet you think it can't get any worse? It's not even that bad here at the moment when compared to places like San Francisco. Unfortunately it is inevitable that whenever you end up with an unaccountable one party system.Would be nice to see some of those alternate parties start to gain power, people who simply care about Hawaii. I don't like where what was once 'my' party is going overall at the moment.
