Could they have kept the money and lifted or lowered some of the GE taxes? That would've had a long term affect over paying for groceries for a maybe 3 weeks. They're already collecting way more just based on inflation prices.

When I first looked at the cartoon, I thought it was satirizing political corruption and that bribes could be directly deposited in the politicians account.Back to the taxpayer refund.After 2 years of no tax receipts being collected and numerous business failures in Hawaii, the State is flush with cash, despite the fact the state has a lot of debt. How is this possible?Is there any correlation with the magic money the state has, and the trillions the FED pumped into the economy during the pandemic with the present raging inflation?
