Hawaii badly needs a fresh approach to state leadership. I applaoud Kahele for stepping up.

Kahele is another mic grabbing grandstander, and we already have that with Green. With his recent "10 Points" for a safer Hawaii, he sounds like another Mayor Rick and his "my way or highway" style of leadership. As Monty Python would say, "and now for something completely different" is once again absent from the ballot. However, my vote is going to Cayetano. Polls show her with little chance of winning, but anything besides the alternatives.

Shades of Colleen Hanabusa. Kahele should take a hard look at today's Star Advertiser which shows how strong Green is. Then he should announce he is staying put.
