In the nearly 15 years that I have lived in Oahu, I have met precisely one family that cares an iota about the Aloha Stadium: they are middle-class Tahitians and fly from聽Papeete to Honolulu every once in a while for the Swap Meet. Nothing against the Swap Meet, but we don't need a spanking new stadium to continue hosting it.

How much would the state save if it cut UH Football and the stadium?

Judging from the comments coming from Aloha Stadiumstaff it seems that the stadium is not up to par for safe use now.聽 Renovating Ching Field would up the propertyvalue of the UH and create a more central place to showHawaii sports.聽 When besides special events was anythingclose to 50,000 seats ever sold at Aloha Stadium?
