HAWAII VIRUS TRACKER — Feb. 18: 67 New COVID-19 Cases And 1 Death

Hawaii health officials including 45 on Oahu, eight on Maui, seven on the Big Island, one on Kauai, one on Molokai and five residents diagnosed outside of Hawaii.

State health officials said Thursday that an electronic laboratory reporting system error that interrupted its tracking occurred sometime after Sunday, and would likely continue to contribute to an artificial increase cases for the next day or two.

Hundreds of vaccination appointments have been canceled or rescheduled as the state waits on delayed shipments of COVID-19 vaccine amid severe winter weather on the continent, DOH spokesperson Brooks Baehr said this week.

Statewide, 0.9% of people tested during the past week . That figure is 1.5% on Maui and 1% on Oahu. Hawaii island and Kauai County had fewer than 1% of patients test positive for COVID in the last week.
