Hawaii health officials reported  on Saturday, including 82 on Oahu, 19 on Maui, eight on the Big Island, one on Kauai and six residents diagnosed out of state.

Lt. Gov. Josh Green is proposing a new plan for reopening the state, as vaccinations for the coronavirus continue to ramp up. Green wants the state to open interisland travel to people who are fully vaccinated once the state has finished most vaccinations in phase 1b of the rollout.

Green’s proposal calls for letting vaccinated travelers from the mainland bypass the state’s quarantine — if at least two weeks have passed since they received their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine — once Hawaii is mostly though phase 1c of the vaccine rollout.
