Statewide, the average number of positive COVID-19 test results reported daily has hovered around 2.5% during the last week. The state has seen an average of 91 new cases documented daily during the past week.

Gov. David Ige said Wednesday that the state is moving forward with launching its pre-travel testing plan on Oct. 15, despite objections from neighbor island mayors and the Honolulu City councilman who represents Waikiki.

The governor also said the state will receive 420,000 rapid antigen tests for use at health care facilities and schools.
