Health officials reported 102 statewide on Thursday and three deaths on Oahu.

The newest COVID-19 cases recorded included 52 on Oahu, 18 in Maui County, 29 on the Big Island and three residents diagnosed out of state.

An outbreak of cases on Lanai has affected 20 people in two days, Lanai island, home to fewer than 3,000 people, is part of Maui County. Lanai has limited medical resources and patients needing intensive hospital care for coronavirus complications would likely be flown to Maui.

reports 40 deaths to date, but a dozen of those fatalities are not yet reflected in the state’s reports. The state’s official COVID-19 death toll stands at 206. Civil Beat calculates at least 218 people have died from the disease in Hawaii.

There are currently 75 people , including 18 people in intensive care — 21 patients fewer than were reported Tuesday.

Sustained and decreasing levels of infections and hospitalizations on Oahu moved the county to Thursday, which loosened some restrictions on restaurants and gyms.
