Officials also reported the deaths of three people on Oahu and one person on Maui.

Among the new infections documented Tuesday, 21 cases were on the Big Island and 11 cases were on Maui. The remaining cases were reported on Oahu.

The state’s official COVID-19 death toll stands at 173 but does not include due to reporting lags. Civil Beat calculates 195 people have died because of the disease.

Roughly a third of all coronavirus cases identified in the state so far have been among people under 30 years old. with the virus in Hawaii since the start of the pandemic, approximately 7% of everyone diagnosed.

Of the 13,575 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Hawaii, 95% have been local residents.

There are currently 34 people with COVID-19 in Hawaii in intensive care units. Eighteen COVID-19 patients are on ventilators. Hawaii hospital beds are , including both COVID-19 patients and other patients.
