VIRUS TRACKER — Sept. 17: 160 New COVID-19 Cases And 5 Deaths In Hawaii
At least 120 people have died from the virus in Hawaii to date, though the state’s official tally is lower because of reporting lags.
Hawaii health officials reported 160 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, including 20 on Hawaii island and three on Maui. The rest were on Oahu.
The state Department of Health also reported four new virus-related deaths on Oahu, and Hawaii county officials confirmed that in Hilo has died.
