I would have shown the boat lower in the water.聽Granted, Governor Ige, your position is not an easy one. We, the people, are entitled to a functional government and the administrative infrastructure that supports it to provide leadership and required services. Is it too late to turn it around? 聽You and the legislature have the helm. The time to act is past. Now, let芒聙聶s play catch-up.聽

Gov. Ige did his part.聽 The legislature is also to blame.聽 They created lousy Emergency Laws to suspend process & rights at costly times, for long periods, & bad reasons.Emergency laws make sense: governments need to act at critical times.聽 The usual process can be slow.聽 Think war [Pearl], storm [Iniki], eruptions, floods, earthquakes, fires, riots.聽 Short on time defines Emergency Law.In Emergency, we give EXCESS powers to the Gov!聽 Gov. may ENJOY power & PROLONG it too long.聽 Courts allow emergency laws.聽 Current Covid "emergency" allows us to see how stupid, silly, incompetent, & petty our State can be with too few hands.聽 It is time to rewrite our Emergency Laws!!In the National Election many feel one or both candidates have neurological or personality screws loose.聽 Similar issues are likely in other executives.聽 Let芒聙聶s get better & safer emergency laws for The Aloha State!
