Editor’s note: Longtime Hawaii political cartoonist John Pritchett returns to Civil Beat this week. John has created thousands of cartoons and illustrations over a span of 33 years. He’s won awards from the United Nations Correspondents Association, Best of the West, the Society of Professional Journalists, Hawaii鈥檚 Thousand Friends and the Hawaii Publishers Association. His work is published worldwide and he has produced four books featuring his cartoons. A gallery of his art and commentary that appeared on this site from 2013-2014 is available in our archive.听
