Only 1 New COVID-19 Case Reported In Hawaii
There are no active COVID-19 cases left on Kauai or the Big Island, meaning those who tested positive are no longer considered to have the virus.
One new case of COVID-19 on Oahu was reported by , taking the state’s cumulative total to 635.
Approximately 563 of those who tested positive for COVID-19 have been categorized by health officials as 鈥渞eleased from isolation鈥 to date, including two new people announced Tuesday.
There were no new hospitalizations reported. Eighty-one people to date have required hospitalization, but the Department of Health does not how many people are currently hospitalized and how many have been discharged.
The 聽since early March include 411 on Oahu, 117 on Maui County, 75 on Hawaii island and 21 on Kauai.
Another 11 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed out of state.
Oahu and Maui County are the only areas with ongoing active cases.
Kauai has not seen a new case for four weeks, and the there are currently no active cases on the Big Island. Those cleared for release from isolation by DOH includes a cluster of patients linked to an outbreak that included workers from two McDonald鈥檚 restaurants in Kona.
More than 36,612 diagnostic tests have been conducted in the islands to date.
No deaths were reported on Tuesday. Officials report 17 people have died to date due to COVID-19 complications, including 11 on Oahu and six on Maui.
