Hawaii COVID-19 Cases Surpass 500

On Monday, the Department of Health reported five new cases, taking the state total to 504 coronavirus infections.

The total number of coronavirus on Monday, but the death toll remained at nine.

The Department of Health reported — one in Hawaii County, two in Honolulu County and two in Maui County.

Kauai reported no new COVID-19 cases on Monday.

Three other cases are pending investigation by the department, and the 504 diagnosed cases to date include two residents who tested positive outside of the islands.

According to the health department, the cumulative number of people who have been hospitalized with a COVID-19 positive diagnosis is 44 people, which was unchanged since Sunday.

Oahu continues to have the most COVID-19 cases, with 352 documented to date, followed by Maui County with 86, Hawaii County with 40 and Kauai County with 21 cases documented.

More than half of patients — 315 people out of 504 — who have had an official coronavirus diagnosis in Hawaii have recovered and qualified to be according to DOH.

As of Sunday, 19,475 coronavirus tests had been conducted in Hawaii. The figure may include multiple test results for one individual.

The number of was 18,611 people.
