Hawaii’s Chief Information Officer Is Stepping Down
The state’s top technology official, Todd Nacapuy, was appointed by Gov. David Ige in 2015.
Todd Nacapuy, the state’s Chief Information Officer, announced he will resign at the start of the new year.
Nacapuy, who was appointed by Gov. David Ige in 2015, announced he would return to the private sector after assisting with a transition, according to a press release.
The governor has yet to announce a replacement.
鈥淚t has been a tremendous honor serving the State of Hawaii as its CIO. I thank the employees at the Office of Enterprise Technology Services for their hard work and dedication,” Nacapuy said in a press release. “Together, we made meaningful progress toward Gov. David Ige鈥檚 vision of modernizing the State鈥檚 systems.鈥
This comes as Nacapuy was to be given a job review by the Information Technology Steering Committee, an 11-member committee tasked with assisting the state CIO in implementing tech projects.
Last year, the committee gave him an overall grade of B-minus.
