A dramatic change in the weather was only one of the concerns for two Hawaii journalists who traveled to the frozen prairies of North Dakota to cover the islands’ connections to the Dakota Access Pipeline protest.
After all, some demontrators had already been the targets of water cannons and rubber bullets used by the authorities there.
