UPDATED: Guests for the anniversary of the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack will include Pearl Harbor survivors and other World War II veterans and their families along withÌýwitnesses, elected officials and dignitaries.

The U.S. Navy and will co-host a joint memorial ceremony Wednesday commemorating the 75thÌýanniversary of the attack, which resulted in the U.S. entry into World War II.

According to a press release from the City and County of Honolulu on Monday, aÌýmoment of silence will be observed at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday.

“The guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey will render pass-in-review honors to the USS Arizona, and a missing man flyover will be conducted above Pearl Harbor during the ceremony,” says the advisory.

Admiral Harry B. Harris, commander of the will be the keynote speaker.

The Navy and Park Service will holdÌýthe ceremony at Kilo Pier on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

SomeÌýadvice: “Due to the large number of veterans and their families, as well as dignitaries and senior military and civilian leaders who plan to attend, seating for the general public will be extremely limited. Therefore, the public is encouraged to observe the ceremony at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center at World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument or streaming online.”

Update: The city said Wednesday the following:

People wishing to attend the Dec. 7 ceremony who do not have an invitation cannot go directly to the ceremony.ÌýThis includes Department of DefenseÌýpersonnel who do not have an invitation.

Members of the general public — who do not have invitations — are required to park at Aloha Stadium and board shuttle buses to the ceremony (first-come, first-served and limited space available) or to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.
