Apply To Work At Honolulu City Hall
The Democratic mayor’s appointments include department directors, deputy directors, secretaries and the staff of the mayor’s and managing director’s offices.
Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell wants “energetic, self-motivated, high achievers with the desire to make a difference” to apply to work in his administration.
Caldwell, a Democrat, was re-elected last month to another four-year term.
“This is a general call for applications as the transition team shapes Mayor Caldwell鈥檚 cabinet for the second term,” Caldwell’s spokesman, Jesse Broder Van Dyke, said in an email.
Broder Van Dyke didn’t specify how many positions are available but said the mayor’s appointments include department directors, deputy directors, secretaries and the staff of the mayor’s and managing director’s offices.
These are separate from civil service openings, which , and contract positions, which aren’t always advertised.
Applicants should submit their resumes and references by December 16 and list what areas or positions they’re interested in, Broder Van Dyke said.
