Hirono: Fire Steve Bannon
Hawaii’s senator says it’s obvious that a white supremacist should not serve in Donald Trump’s White House.

The chairman of Breitbart News has been in the White House.
Hirono said:
鈥淲hat Steve Bannon believes is not a mystery. He has demeaned women, advocated for white supremacy, and promoted anti-Semitism.
鈥淚n addition to saying that immigrants spread disease, [his website Breitbart] has advocated a religious test for immigration. As an immigrant and a religious minority, this isn鈥檛 a test that I would have passed.
鈥淨uite frankly, it鈥檚 sad that we are having a debate about whether a white supremacist should serve as a senior counselor to the President-elect.鈥�
Hirono is a Democrat in the U.S. Senate, the only immigrant currently serving in that body and currently the only woman of color.
