One week from聽Tuesday is the general election, and time is quickly聽running out to register and to vote.
Hawaii voters have until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to聽request that an absentee ballot be mailed to them. Contact your respective county clerk to take care of that.
Early walk-in voting ends Saturday at select locations around the state, as does late voter registration.
One exception:聽Pahala Community Center on the Big Island is open for walk-in early voting through聽Friday
The state Office of Elections said that, as of last Thursday,聽80,424 ballots had already been sent in.
That’s out of a total 222,726 absentee ballots mailed out by Oct. 27.
It’s not clear how many people are currently聽registered to vote, given that walk-in registration is continuing this week.
