Pod Squad: Tim Garry Wants To Upgrade Permitting And Lifeguard Services

This is the first time Tim Garry, a retired businessman in the construction industry, has run for elective office, but he doesn’t plan to make a second career of it.
He tells Pod Squad host Chad Blair he’d serve just one term if elected Honolulu mayor and donate most of his salary to charity. During that term, he said he’d upgrade the city’s Department of Planning and Permitting, as well as Oahu’s lifeguard services.
