ACLU Lawyer To Be State Ethics Chief

Gluck, whose last day at the ACLU of Hawaii was Thursday, will assume his position Aug. 1. He replaces Les Kondo, who was appointed by the Legislature in April to serve as the state auditor.
Gluck, a graduate of the Harvard Law School, will oversee enforcement of the and the . “I will work to ensure our state’s lawmakers, employees and lobbyists adhere to the highest ethical standards,” he said in a statement.
“We are excited to have Gluck join the commission’s staff as executive director,” said Susan DeGuzman, chair of the commission, which unanimously picked Gluck. “He possesses stellar academic professional credentials and has demonstrated the temperament and skills to help fulfill the commission’s mission.”
