Kamana驶opono Crabbe, the CEO of the ,聽received聽a new three-year contract Thursday.
An ad hoc committee has been created to work out the details of the contract.
Board Chair聽Robert Lindsey Jr. said, “For the board, the decision, on large part, reflects a commitment to providing OHA employees with stable leadership at the top. The most important decision we make for this organization is selecting its CEO. Our hope is that this decision inspires the confidence and support of our employees and beneficiaries.”
Crabbe has served as OHA CEO (Ka Pouhana)聽since January 2012.
He holds聽a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Hawaii Manoa.
Crabbe’s tenure at OHA has sometimes made headlines.
In 2014, for example, he聽sought a legal opinion from U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry regarding the status of the Hawaiian Kingdom that was overthrown in 1893.
