Honolulu Police Department officers stream into formation Monday evening before for a procession to the state Capitol rotunda.

The Police Week procession and Capitol ceremony honored 46 Honolulu officers who have died in the line of duty.

The officers proceed from the department’s main headquarters on South Beretenia Street toward the Capitol.

Members of the Celtic Pipes and Drums of Hawaii join the procession.

Also among those joining the procession were, from right, Kauai Mayor Bernard Carvalho, Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell and Honolulu Police Chief Louis Kealoha.

Beretania Street fills up with police officers during the procession.

Officers salute as the color guard posts the colors at the beginning of the ceremony at the Capitol.

The HPD color guard’s posting of colors came near the beginning of the program at the Capitol rotunda.

Candles were lit in honor of the fallen officers.
