Gov. David Ige on Thursday听announced his nominations for the state and the .

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate.

Dawn Chang and Gary Okuda听are the LUC picks.

Chang, says the administration, served 14 years as deputy attorney general with the Land/Transportation Division and was counsel to state boards and commissions such as the Land Board and Water Commission.听

Okuda has practiced law in Hawaii since 1981, “specializing in diverse real estate matters.”

Ige previously appointed Nancy Cabral.

Commissioner Kent Hiranaga’s term ends June 30, while Commissioner Chad McDonald is in a holdover position until a replacement takes his seat.

The governor also reappointed Commissioner Jonathan Scheuer, a听vice chair, whose current term expires June 30.

Former educator Patricia Bergin and former news reporter Bruce Voss have been appointed to the BOE.

Vice Chair听Brian De Lima’s term ends June 30. The same goes for听Amy Asselbaye and听Patricia Halagao.
