The Big Island senator is the latest state legislator to ask for campaign cash even while the Legislature is considering bills and funding.
Russell Ruderman, who represents the Big Island’s vast Puna and Kau district, held .
It was held at Sweet Cane Cafe in Hilo, and the suggested donation was $50.
