Ethics Panel Seat Still Open
The Judicial Council has extended听the deadline to March 31 for applications to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Hawaii State Ethics Commission.听

The commission addresses “ethical issues involving legislators, registered lobbyists, and state employees (with the exception of judges, who are governed by the Commission on Judicial Conduct),” says the council.
The five commission members are responsible for “investigating complaints, providing advisory opinions, and enforcing decisions issued” by the commission.
All that, and you can expect total love from the Hawaii Legislature. OK, maybe not total love, but it’s an important job.
