A 36-year-old visitor died Monday after jumping off a 25-foot cliff on the west side of the Big Island, West Hawaii Today .
He was identified as William H. Holman of Auburn, Washington.
The newspaper reported that he had jumped off聽the popular cliff-jumping spot in the morning but struggled to climb back up and was knocked back down by large surf around 11:30 a.m.
Rescue crews eventually found his body around 4 p.m., roughly 30 yards offshore.
